Música y Escuela. Años 70-80.

    En los años setenta, la sociología de la educación planteó algunos modelos críticos que fueron muy influyentes. En todos ellos -como ha señalado Julia Varela- se planteaba explícitamente "la necesidad de comprender no solo las funciones explícitas, sino también las funciones latentes que desempeña la Escuela. En este sentido estos modelos críticos comparten el cuestionamiento de aquellas otras teorías que ven en el sistema escolar una institución destinada fundamentalmente a favorecer la movilidad social, la igualdad de oportunidades, en suma, una mayor justicia social".

    En España, en 1970 entra en vigor la Ley Villar Palasí, impulsada en los últimos años del Franquismo, influida por el Opus Dei. Sustituye la reglamentación anterior, heredera de la Ley Moyano, del siglo XIX. Se mantuvo con pocos cambios hasta 1990. Con ella se estableció la educación obligatoria hasta los 14 años o Educación General Básica, y la Formación Profesional. En el año 1970, el Gobierno español destinaba un 2% del PIB al gasto en educación.

- 1970. La banda Jethro Tull publica "Teacher".

 -1974. El grupo Supertramp grabó el tema "School" dentro de su famoso disco "Crime of the Century" (1974).

- 1979, el grupo Pink Floyd sacó el disco "The Wall". Aquí puedes ver un fragmento de la película y del tema "Another Brick in the Wall", un alegato contra el represivo sistema educativo inglés de la época. Para muchos compañeros de mi edad fue un soplo de aire fresco ante un sistema educativo que no acababa de soltar el lastre de tantos años de dictadura franquista. 

 

 -1987. El grupo de rock Asfalto publica"Días de escuela", probablemente un intento de retratar la escuela franquista.

Bien abrigado llegaba al colegio
Mil novecientos sesenta, hace poco tiempo
Formados frente a una cruz y a ciertos retratos
Entre bostezo y bostezo gloriosos himnos pesados

Despertamos en pupitres de dos en dos
